Art, Jewelry, Home Decor, and Handmade Treats: 10 Las Cruces Craft Fair Ideas for Shoppers
Let’s be real for a second, shopping in a giant, nameless department store can feel a little… cold. You know the feeling. You’re wandering through aisles of mass-produced plastic, and nothing really speaks to you. But then, you walk into the Mesilla Valley Mall during one of our Artists, Crafters and Creators Bazaar weekends, and suddenly, the air feels different. It smells like cinnamon-sugar treats and handmade candles, and you hear the actual laughter of the person who made the earrings you’re holding.
I’m Louie, and honestly, building the ACC Bazaar has been a wild ride. There have been moments where I thought, "Yikes, can we actually pull this off every month?" But seeing the community come together in Las Cruces makes every late-night planning session worth it. We aren’t just a las cruces craft fair; we are a family of makers.
Whether you’re a seasoned "market hopper" or you’ve never stepped foot in an artisan bazaar, I’ve put together a list of 10 things you absolutely have to look for the next time you visit us. Trust me, your home (and your soul) will thank you.
1. Statement Jewelry That Actually Tells a Story
We’ve all seen the basic gold hoops at the mall. They’re fine, but they don’t have a soul. When you browse our local vendor market, you’ll find pieces that are literally hand-assembled, bead by bead. We’re talking about local artists who spend hours hunched over a workbench to get that one clasp just right.

FUN FACT: Most of our jewelry vendors love to tell you exactly where they sourced their stones or what inspired a specific color palette. It’s not just a necklace; it’s a conversation starter. You can find everything from desert-inspired turquoise to funky, 3D-printed geometric shapes. What’s your vibe today?
2. Home Decor with a Southwest Soul
If your walls are looking a little "builder-grade beige," we need to talk. One of my favorite things about the arts bazaar is seeing how our creators interpret the Las Cruces landscape. We’re talkin' hand-painted signs, custom-sewn pillows, and those little knick-knacks that make a house feel like your home.
I’ve seen shoppers walk in looking for a gift and end up leaving with a massive piece of wall art because they just couldn't say no. And hey, I don't blame them! Supporting artists crafters creators means you’re getting something nobody else in your neighborhood has.
3. The "Tiny Art" Movement
You don’t always need a 5-foot canvas to make a statement. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with our vendors who do mini-masterpieces. Think hand-painted feathers or tiny easels that fit perfectly on a bookshelf or a crowded desk.

These are usually super affordable (sometimes just $10!) and they bring so much life to a workspace. It’s proof that you don’t need a huge budget to support small business. Plus, they’re just adorable. Look at those colors!
4. Handmade Treats (The "Snack While You Shop" Rule)
Listen, you can’t properly shop a las cruces craft fair on an empty stomach. It’s basically a law. We have vendors who specialize in small-batch treats, everything from gourmet popcorn to melt-in-your-mouth cookies and traditional New Mexican sweets.

THE PLAN? Grab a bag of something delicious, take a slow stroll through the mall, and enjoy the sugar high while you browse the vendor directory. It makes the whole experience ten times better. (Just try not to get crumbs on the handmade quilts, okay? Sad face.)
5. Custom Apparel & Wearable Art
Forget the "fast fashion" trap. At the ACC Bazaar, you can find tie-dyed shirts, hand-printed tees, and even upcycled denim that’s been turned into a literal canvas. It’s all about expressing yourself. I love seeing people find a shirt that perfectly matches their personality. It’s like a "whoa" moment when the shopper and the creator just click.
6. Bath and Body Goods (Self-Care is Mandatory)
The smell of the mall changes when our soap and candle makers arrive. It goes from "standard mall smell" to "lavender and eucalyptus dreamland" real quick. We have vendors making goat milk soaps, organic lotions, and candles that actually smell like the desert after a rainstorm. (If you know, you know, that creosote smell is magic!)
7. Seasonal & Holiday Specials
One of the best parts about our monthly schedule at the Mesilla Valley Mall is that we’re always vibin’ with the season. Whether it’s finding the perfect spooky decor in October or a unique gift for Mom in May, our creators are always one step ahead.

PRO TIP: If you see something you love at a seasonal event, grab it! Most of these items are one-of-a-kind. If you wait until next month, it’ll probably be gone. Yikes! Don’t let that "shopper’s remorse" kick in.
8. Interactive & Personalized Gifts
Have you ever wanted something with your name on it that wasn't a generic keychain from a gas station? Many of our vendors offer on-the-spot personalization. Whether it’s engraving a leather bracelet or customizing a vinyl sticker, it adds that extra layer of "I thought of you" to a gift.
9. Supporting the "Next Big Thing"
Every time you buy from a local vendor market, you’re potentially buying from the next big name in the art world. We have so many talented young creators and first-time vendors who are just starting out. It’s an emotional high for them to make their first sale, and honestly? It’s an emotional high for us to watch it happen! Check out our creators tag to see some of the folks we’ve featured.
10. The Atmosphere (The Best Part!)
Okay, this isn't an "item" you can put in a bag, but it’s the most important thing we offer. The atmosphere at the ACC Bazaar is all about community. You’ll hear live music, see kids getting their faces painted, and witness neighbors catching up in the aisles.

We want you to feel welcome. We want you to feel like you’re part of something bigger than just a transaction. What do you think? Ready to join the fun?
The Logistics (Keeping it Ship Shape)
We don't want you to miss out because you forgot the dates! We are at the Mesilla Valley Mall every single month. It’s the perfect indoor setting, no need to worry about the New Mexico wind blowing your shopping bags away or the sun melting your new candles.
- Where: Mesilla Valley Mall, Las Cruces, NM.
- When: Monthly (Check our newsletter for exact dates!).
- Who: You, your family, your friends, and maybe even your dog (the mall is pretty cool about that!).
If you’re a maker yourself and thinking, "Hey, I want in on this," we’d love to have you! You can find all the info on how to become one of our vendors right on our site. Don't be shy: we’re a friendly bunch.
Why It Matters
When you shop at an artisan bazaar, you’re doing more than just buying stuff. You’re helping a local mom pay for dance lessons, helping a student buy textbooks, or helping a retiree stay active and creative. It’s a direct line of support from your wallet to a neighbor’s dream.
Supporting artists crafters creators is how we keep the culture of Las Cruces alive and thriving. Plus, let’s be honest: the stuff is just way cooler than what you’ll find in a big-box store.
So, next time you're looking for a gift, a treat, or just a reason to get out of the house, come see us at the ACC Bazaar. We’ll be the ones with the big smiles, the colorful tables, and the best handmade finds in the Southwest.
See you at the mall!
: Louie Gamon & The ACC Bazaar Team

As the weekend gets closer, our anxiety becomes excitement. Seeing the various products that are being announced only makes me wish I was a millionaire; at that rate I would quickly not be, lol.
As I walk around and make sure all of our vendor arrive, one vendor is happy to see that her name was marked on her spot and said,”Oh nice! That’s mee!

Well, we wouldn’t say nothing. We at ACC Bazaar are extremely grateful to every single vendor that has participated at the Bazaar in 2022. To show our gratitude, we would like to invite everyone to a “posolada”, a chill night of posole, coffee and jams at the Downtown Blues Coffee on Main st. We are still working out the kinks for the event, but we’ll make an announcement soon.
